70s Jumpsuit: Earthy tones and mixing prints

Jumpsuits (also known as onesie :)) have become a staple in every girl’s wardrobe. The garment is breaking the rules of evening and formal wear as many structured jumpsuits are now replacing dress. The thing that makes it different is the nonchalance with which it makes you look stylish.

The most important thing to be kept in mind while buying a jumpsuit is the ‘Fit’. As it’s a one-piece garment, understanding one’s body shape is extremely crucial. Experiment till you find “mera wala jumpsuit” :). You can then play around with it for different looks; casual with sneakers, work-wear with a structured blazer, formal with heels and so on. (You can check out my post on denim jumpsuit here)

The latest in the jumpsuit trend are 70s wide leg cut and flared bottoms. The style is easy breezy and super comfortable. Most brands have come out with their pre-fall collection. Expect to see a lot of earth tones and prints in it. I paired my wide-legged jumpsuit with classic pumps and leopard print bag. I love the oxidized and tassle detailing on the neck. While the print of my bag and dress are different, they complement each other due to the similar color palette. I finished off the look with wooden statement piece that ties the whole outfit together.
