Top 3 sun tan removal recipes that work!!
Gone are the times when we would sit under the sun and have some vitamin D. Even the thought of being under direct sunlight for 5 minutes sounds scary, at least in a tropical country such as India. When Sun damages our skin from within and tanning is the only thing we see outside. Treating it is important for a healthy and radiant skin.
Removing tan takes with it a lot of impurities and also helps treat the skin from within. It brings with itself other problems such as hyper pigmentation, dark spots, dull and patchy skin, acne and a lot more. All thanks to us, the human beings responsible for global warming, sun has also become a major cause for skin cancer. So apart from the fact that you should be wearing a sunscreen at all times, there is a lot more care that your skin needs.
Here are some of my tried and tested home remedies for tan removal and making our skin look healthy and glowy.
Lemon juice+rosewater+cucumber juice/glycerine
This is a mixture my mom has been using since her childhood and so have I. For summers preferably mix cucumber juice whereas in winters switch cucumber juice with glycerine to add moisture to the skin. Lemon as we all know is a natural bleaching agent and it can be used on its own as well. Rosewater helps in balancing the pH of the skin as it acts as the most natural skin toner. You can massage this mixture everyday or every alternate day at night and sleep with it. Wash it off in the morning and carry on with your daily regime. It can be applied anywhere, I like to use it on my entire body and it works great.
Mix handful of oats with few teaspoons of raw milk and make it of a scruby consistency. It works both as a scrub as well as a facepack. First splash some lukewarm water on your face to open up your pores. Take this mixture and massage gently in circular motions. Massage for a good 5 minutes and leave it on for about 15 minutes. If it tends to get dry, dab some raw milk on top to wet it again and make sure that does not dry out. After 15 minutes wash it off with cold water and apply a moisturiser. This one works great for all skin types and makes skin feel clean and nice.
Besan+milk powder+lemon juice+honey
Mix equal parts of everything and mix till it gets to a paste like consistency. This is great for applying on the entire body. Dab a warm wet towel on the skin and then start applying the pack. This pack requires a lot of patience. It is a pretty strong pack and should be applied once a week. Keep it on for a good half n hr and whenever it seems to get a little dry, wet it again with some milk. The key behind not letting it dry is to let the skin absorb the ingredients well. After about half n hr massage the area well by wetting it with milk and after massaging for 2 minutes wash it off.
I have tried almost every recipe that the internet has to offer but these three have worked best on my skin. If these recipes suit your skin, trust me they can do wonders with continuous use. Try out these recipes and thank me later as I am sure they will work for your skin and help you get supple and healthy skin. Do not forget to wear a sunscreen at all times even if you are gonna stay in the house, wear it. It makes world of a difference.
