Fenugreek yogurt mask
For this mask, soak some fenugreek seeds overnight and grind them to form a paste the very next morning. Add equal parts yogurt and churn well to form a thick paste. Add juice of around half to full lemon depending upon the quantity. Using lemon juice for hair not only gets rid of dandruff but also helps in deep cleaning of scalp.
Apply this mask on your scalp using a brush and a comb. Let it rest for around 30 minutes after which wash it off well using a mild shampoo. Even if some jelly like particles remain in your hair, they will easily flake off once your hair is dried up. This is an amazing remedy of both oily as well as dry hair people.
Apple cider vinegar mask
Add equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray it nicely all over your hair and scalp. Leave it for 20 minutes. Wash as per usual with cold water. This mask not only treats dandruff but also helps bring shine to your hair. And helps get rid of any chemical build up in your hair. Due to this it unclogs hair follicles and stimulates hair growth.
Hot oil mask
Warm olive oil and castor oil and get them to a lukewarm temperature. Add olive oil, castor oil and lemon juice in the ratio 1:1:2. Apply this mask and leave it overnight. Wash it off the next day and this will not only treat dandruff but also provide nourishment. Olive oil adds moisture while castor oil is great for hair growth. Lemon juice works as a major cleansing agent.
Camphor and coconut oil mask
For one tablespoon of coconut oil, take one teaspoon full of camphor and mix well. Once it dissolves nicely, apply it well on your scalp and let it rest overnight. Next morning wash it off using a mild shampoo.
Yogurt honey and lemon mask
Add yogurt, honey and lemon juice in the ratio 2:1:1. Mix well to form a paste and apply it thoroughly on your scalp as well as on your hair. Keep it on for 30 minutes and wash it off using cold water and a mild shampoo.
Always try to use room temperature water on your hair as it helps add shine to the hair. With these natural remedies, mild shampoos work best and other shampoos can be a little too harsh.
